Arrested accused accepts to killing his wife in a fit of rage

A man was arrested by the police on Sunday night - 16 April after he allegedly killed his 35 year old wife at their residence in Kharpina village of Udaipur in a fit of rage as the food items made by his wife and served to him was having less salt in it, as per the police.

The incident occurred on 13 April when the accused Mangi Lal Meena (38) had an heated argument with his wife Tara Meena over the issue of not having proper amount of salt in the food made by her for dinner. The argument turned violent and Mangi Lal allegedly statrted thrashing his wife and fled the scene leaving her in a pool of blood; later she succumbed to her injuries, police said.

Tara's father filed a complaint at the Goverdhan Vilas police station in which he infomed the police that his daughter got married to Mangi Lal 12 years back, but they were not having cordial relationship as the couple do not have a kid after the marriage and following that Mangi Lal often used to beat her.

In his report to the police, he also mentioned that on 13 April too Mangi Lal had an argument with his wife for not putting appropriate amount of salt in the food prepared by her for the dinner, the argument suddenly turned violent and he killed her and fled the scene.

Acting upon the repot of the victim's father a case has been registered by the police under Section 302 of Indian Penal Code and the police has been on the lookout for Mangi Lal since then. On Sunday 16 April the police team investigating the case got a tip off about the accused and as per the information received from the sources the police nabbed him. Mangi Lal accepted his crime and appropriate action is being taken.
