The new TV was worth 1,15,990 rupees. Allegedly the customer was sent an old TV.

A showroom manager and his staff have been accused of fraud by a consumer. As per the complaint, the consumer was sent an old TV instead of the new and expensive one that he selected in the showroom. The selected TV was priced at more than 1 lakh rupees.

Amarjot registered a complaint with Sukher police as per which he had gone to the mall in Bhuwana to buy a TV set with his father. The TV set that he selected was worth 1 lakh plus and after discount it was for 95,000 rupees. The salesman also said that as per the scheme, a mobile handset worth 21,000 and a coupon worth 1000 rupees would be provided to the consumer.

After the deal was finalised, the TV was to be delivered on 26th October 2019. At the time of delivery, when the content inside the box was checked, it turned out to be an old TV set. Amarjot called up the manager and informed him about this. The manager told him that it was a new TV set and he instructed the delivery man to leave the TV there and return to the showroom.

The next day, Amarjot went to the showroom and asked about this incidence but his complaint was not taken care of. A legal notice was sent to the manager but he did not respond to it. Post this, a complaint was lodged at the police station. Police is now investigating the case.
