In the series of seizing and demolishing all illegal constructions near lakeside, another case of seizure came under action on 9 ^th March, this time it is of a renowned business giant of Udaipur. Construction of a lavish bungalow located on the shore of Lake Swaroop Sagar was stopped by Udaipur’s Municipal Council, the bungalow is seized and all construction equipment were taken in the charge by municipal council. This house is owned by Sanjay Singhal of Secure Meters; Mr. Singhal is also a close relative of V.H.P President Ashok Singhal. Local media reports says that there was an application submitted by Singhal in council requesting for construction which is still pending a review but the owner started the work of construction without permission. Also, it is illegal to construct residential or commercial complexes in radius of 500m around the lakeside area. Sanjay Singhal was out of city, so Anay singhal, the power of attorney holder said that it is not illegal as per the law that the land is owned since 1997. Hence, it does not come under the non-construction zone. He requested for 15 days to give  detailed response but council’s officer Balmukund Asawa has rejected Singhal’s plea.
