A theft took place in Navratan Complex area a day after Diwali. The theft was reported on 19th November when the family returned home but registered by police 8 days later.

The thieves have been spotted on CCTV footage obtained from the neighbours. Around 6 tolas of gold jewellery and 2 kg of silver were taken away by the thieves. The entire house was searched by the thieves, and the worst part is that they even disposed faecal matter in the house.

The theft occurred on 15th November, a day after Diwali festival between 5:36 a.m. and 6:07 a.m. as recorded in the footage. Krishna Gupta w/o Dinesh Gupta reported the theft on 19th November after returning home but allegedly the report was registered by police 8 days later on Thursday, 26th November. She stated that she had left for Jaipur the next day of Diwali with her family. The next morning her son Deepak reached home and found that the house had been burgled. Deepak called up police immediately. Police reached the house and inspected the site but registered the case much later.

The CCTV footage shows that there were 2 thieves who jumped over the boundary wall and entered the premise. They first opened the windows to check the house and then broke the locks to enter the house at 5:36 a.m. and after collecting everything in a bag they left at 6:07 a.m.
