Udaipur Police, today morning arrested the mastermind of the Mandsaur VHP leader murder from Udaipur.
A significant achievement by the Udaipur Police, Deepak Gaur, mastermind of the murder of the VHP leader Yuvraj Singh in Mandsaur, was arrested today morning. Deepak had a prize of Rs 10,000 on his head and was absconding for a long time. The murder of Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader, Yuvraj Singh, took place at Mandsaur on 9 October. Deepak had been on the run for a long time and it was also known that he visited Udaipur a couple of times, while being on the run. This time however, the Police for information on time and while Deepak was leaving for Madhya Pradesh from Udaipur, he was apprehended at the Udiapol bus stand.
At the time of arrest, police found a revolver and bullets on him. Deepak runs a cable business in Mandsaur and is also a known history sheeter. On investigation it was found that the deceased VHP leader was also a cable operator in Mandsaur. Both Deepak and Yuvraj were vehemently at loggerheads with respect to the the business they were doing.
In order to mislead the police, Deepak had fled to Udaipur much before the murder, in order to show his presence in the city while Yuvraj was murdered. His shooters carried out the task when Deepak was in Udaipur. Police had earlier apprehended all the three shooters and were on the lookout for Deepak.
While on the run, Deepak was seen in many cities and managed to escape the police each time. During this time, he used his mobile very infrequently so that police could not trace his location.
Post arrrest, Udaipur Police informed their counterparts in Mandsaur and have taken police remand through a court order today immediately after arresting Deepak. His interrogation will be done by the Udaipur Police and then subsequently Mandsaur police will take him away after producing a production warrant and conduct the remaining procedures related to the murder case.
