Udaipur Police has arrested Devilal alias Deva has been arrested at Pahada, near the Rajasthan – Gujarat border.

Devilal, was accused of broad daylight murder of a teacher in Pulna on 1 February.  He had been missing since the murder and all fingers pointed at him.  Police had declared an award of Rs 5,000 on 3 February.

On 1 February, the victim, a lady teacher at a Government school in Pulna near Zawar Mines, Udaipur was murdered after unidentified persons in a black van attacked her with swords.  This led to her death on the spot. The mutilated blood soaked body of the teacher was found outside the school premises.

The victim, Neetu Kharadi had been married recently and reasons for the murder will be known after Devilal is interrogated.  He will be interrogated at the Zawar Mines police station.
