Passengers passing through Udaipur railway station will soon be able to order food of their choice from a range of restaurants and food chains while in train. This is courtesy the start of e-catering facility at Udaipur railway station.
North Western Railways (NWR) will be starting e-catering facility at 25 class A and A-1 stations in the region. The stations included in this are: Udaipur, Jaipur, Ajmer, Jodhpur, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Aburoad, Falna, Marwar Junction, Rani, Bhiwani, Sriganganagar, Suratgarh, Alwar, Hanumangarh, Hisar, Lalgarh, Phulera, Rewari, Barmer, Bandikui, Gandhinagar (Jaipur), Jaisalmer, Nagaur and Pali Marwar.
Tarun Jain, Chief Public Relations officer, NWR, said that the facility will allow passengers to book food of their choice. Passengers will have to type their preferred meal followed by their PNR number and send it to 139.
Passengers will also be able to order via App, website, mobile site or through admin panel.
