8th Convocation of Sangam University - Girls outperform among toppers
The eighth convocation of Sangam University, Bhilwara was held on 4 February at the University campus. As per COVID guidelines, the convocation was held in hybrid mode.

The program began with a Guard of Honor by the NCC Cadets at the University, welcoming all the dignitaries.

Vice Chancellor of Sangam University, Prof. Karunesh Saxena presented the annual report.This report was presented in four sections, viz. Good Governance and Quality at Sangam, academic achievements of students and faculty, skill development and co-curricular achievements of students and non-academic personnel. Prof Saxena informed that in the Academic year gone by, a total of 132 national and international papers, more than 32 books, more than 50 webinars and 5 consultancy and research projects and 7 patents were accomplished.

Guest of Honour Mr. Harendra Mahawar, IPS, DIG SSB Jodhpur and Dr. Himanshu Kumar Shee from Victoria University Melbourne addressed the participants by joining online.

Professor Pawan Kumar Singh, Director, IIM Tiruchirappalli delivered the key convocation address. In his address, he encouraged students to be lifelong learners and also to inculcate good human values along with practical knowledge and skills. He appreciated Sangam University for their academic endeavours and congratulated the University on getting B grade from NAAC Bangalore. He said, "Learning is a continuous process and there is no limit to learning. One who has been able to identify the self is an accomplishment.

The District Collector of Bhilwara, IAS Ashish Modi said "Being a very good businessman, student, teacher, social worker or administrative officer, is all important, but what is more important is to be a better person, and believe in yourself. This is the key to success".

Chief Guest of the program, Mr. Yaduvendra Mathur, former IAS and former Special Secretary, NITI Aayog, Government of India, said that the energy that gives education cannot be found from anywhere. Describing the Literacy Week, he said that in the society "one should live like a candle which is always ready to burn for the society from both the sides".

Anurag Soni, Board Member of Sangam University congratulated all the stakeholders of the University for a phenomenal year of achievementas.

Rampal Soni, Chairman of Sangam University and Sangam Group, in his presidential address, told the students that while today they have completed another level of their academic process, it is now important for them to address the needs put forth by what life has to offer. Once this is understood and realised, then passing out from the University will make it more worthwhile.

Further in his speech, he said that "Education should be limitless and should not be affected by time. Education should also be such that it always prepares onseself for change, research-based change is very necessary." In particular, he said that "Any good leader is one who recognizes the quality of his subordinate and gives him complete freedom to do that work, and ignore his shortcomings and pursue his good side."

An Honorary Doctorate degree was awarded to Mr. Yaduvendra Mathur exa-IAS and ex-Secretary Niti Aayog, Government of India. Mr Mathur is 1986 batch Rajasthan cadre IAS officer who topped in the seniority list that year and also won three gold medals during his training. He served as Bhilwara Collector in the 90s where he had done remarkable work in the field of literacy in villages of the district. Later on, he was also posted as Deputy Director at Lal Bahadur Shastri training academy Mussoorie where he taught IAS trainee officers for 4 years.  His other notable assignment was as Chairman and Managing Director of Exim Bank.

In recognition of his sterling public service with academic orientation Sangam University Bhilwara decided to confer on him the honorary degree of doctor of philosophy duringtheir convocation held on 4th February 2022.
Registrar Prof. Rajeev Mehta told that this year a total of 352 deserving students were awarded degrees, and 443 deserving students were awarded diploma certificates and other certificates and degrees! Controller of Examinations, Prof. Jag Bhushan Sharma told that the best 23 students of the program course. Won gold and silver medals and 09 boys won gold and silver medals! First in the degree award, Research Dean, Prof. Rakesh Bhandari, PhD and D.Sc., School of Arts and Humanities, Prof. Rajneesh Verma, Dean of School of Basic and Applied Science. Degree of Prof. Rakesh Sharma, Degree Dean of School of Engineering and Technology Prof. Vinesh Aggarwal, Degree Dean of School of Management and School of Law by Prof. Vibhor Paliwal and Degree in-charge of School of Vocational by Lt. Rajkumar Jain.
Dr. Nidhi Bhatnagar and Dr. Shweta Bohra conducted the convocation efficiently. Public Relations Officer of sangam University Lt Rajkumar Jain told that Sangam Group MD Dr SN Modani, Executive Director VK Sodani, Pranal Modani, Palak Modani, Preeti Mathur, IQAC Director Prof Preeti Mehta ,all faculty and staff etc. were present in the program. In the end Registrar Prof Rajeev Mehta proposed vote of thanks to all.
