Udaipur has got the honor of being the 10^th branch of IIM- which is the best business school of India. Finally the countdown has begun and it’s time to rush for admissions.

A total of 576 candidates will be invited for a Written Ability Test (WAT) and Interview between June 10 and 12, 2011 Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata and Mumbai.

The total PGP intake will be 72. To make it easy for CAT students, the notices would be posted on the official site of IIM.

IIM-U is inviting applications from candidates who have appeared for CAT 2010 and are satisfying the minimum cut offs which is given below in the table.

Cut-off list (Eligibility Criteria) for 2 year PGP management program for the academic session 2011-12:

IIM Indore, who is mentoring IIM Udaipur will be receiving & processing applications from eligible candidates.

There would be a 2 step process for offering final admissions to first batch of IIM Udaipur, which would be commencing from July 2011.

Category wise intake as per GOI reservation norms is given below:

The further process of application would be done if the candidate is found eligible according to the norms & conditions of previous tables. Applications of eligible candidates would be processed by considering the performance in CAT 2010, Graduation degree, HSC & SSC & professional diversity.

All the candidates would be shortlisted on the basis of composite scores which is provided below & would be called for WAT (Writing Ability Test) & PI (Personal Interview) with approximately intake of 1:8 ratio in each category.

Final Composite Score(100%):

CAT score (50%) + Academic Performance (45%) + Professional Diversity (5%).

PS: Professional diversity will be for student of CA, ICWA, Law, Medicine, CS, and Dentistry.

Second Phase of Admission:

Approximately eight times required number of candidates proposed for admission will be called for WAT & PI, using the final composite score which is given above.

Final Selection:

Final selection would be based on the performance in CAT 2010, plus the weightage of WAT & PI. Weightage is given below for WAT & PI.

Admission Fee:

The tuition fee would 4 Lakhs ( payable in 3 installments) rupees including academic material per year excluding living expenses & other charges. Caution fee would be 25 thousand at the time of the admission which would be reimbursed at the time of the program, when the candidate will be leaving the institute.
