Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) has registered a case officials of a set of medical colleges in Rajasthan including Pacific Institute of Medical Science Udaipur, Rajasthan University of Health Science and NIMS medical college.

Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) has registered a case officials of a set of medical colleges and Universities in Rajasthan including Pacific University, Pacific Institute of Medical Science Udaipur, Rajasthan University of Health Science and NIMS medical college.

As per media reports, the case has been registered against alleged large scale irregularities related to offering of admission.

CBI has registered a case against Principal of Pacific Institute of Medical Science Udaipur, Ajmer coordinator of PCPMT 2015, Registrar of Pacific University Udaipur, Registrar of Rajasthan University of Health Science, Principal of NIMS medical college and related officials of MCI New Delhi.

Vivek Buglia of Jhunjhunu had filed a petition in Rajasthan High Court against admission irregularities in the medical colleges. In his petition he alleged that despite condition of admissions to be given on merit, admissions were given to students who had secured lower marks. Further, he had alleged that students who had not even participated in the counselling session were admitted. Further it is alleged that the college showed even the vacant seats as filled.

In this case earlier, High Court had directed the State Government to direct the case to CBI New Delhi.
