Some schools reported that a few students who were studying in their school at the time of submission of List of Candidates (LOC) are not available for examination.

CBSE further issued a circular regarding the results of these students.

Central Board of Secondary Education has issued an update regarding not releasing the results of a few of the Class 12 students. CBSE issued this notification after some schools reported that a few students who were studying in their school at the time of submission of List of Candidates (LOC) are not available for examination.

Clarifying this issue, CBSE further stated that students who missed online classes or did not appear for half-yearly and the pre-board examinations will be considered absent. The reasons given by the schools for the non-availability of students for examination/computation are as follows:

  • The student has taken TC.
  • The student has ceased to be a bonafide student of the school due to various reasons including demise, and name-struck-off cases.
  • The student could not be contacted by the school for online classes and/or tests or assessments and it was not possible to conduct required assessments.

Students of Class X are also waiting for their results. CBSE announced that the tabulation process has been completed and the schools have also updated the marks as per the criteria decided by CBSE. The results are likely to be declared by July 20. Once the result is declared, the students can access their mark sheets on cbseresults.nic.in and cbse.gov.in.

CBSE said that the results of students in these categories will not be declared and the students will be marked absent. It may be noted that data in respect of these students may not be submitted by awarding them zero mark or mentioning anything else against their names, CBSE added.
