CISCE has taken this decision after issues were raised by schools, parents and students on availability of devices, power supply and network connectivity.

CISCE (Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations) have announced the revised date sheet for the Semester 1 Class 10 and Class 12 Board Examinations. The revised date sheet was sent to all schools on 22 October.

The Board exams for both ICSE (Class 10) Semester 1 will commence on 22 November and end on 20 December. The ISC (Class 12) Semester 1 exams will commence on 29 November and end on 16 December. The date that was announced earlier was November 15. A couple of days earlier the CISCE had issued a circular to all schools affiliated to the board, both in India and abroad that the examinations dates are being postponed.

In the revised the circular, the Board has announced that the Semester 1 Board examinations will be held in Offline mode only. Earlier the examinations were to be held in Online mode. The students will get their respective schools as exam centres. The CBSE board had already announced the the Term 1 board examinations will be held in the offline mode and CISCE has accordingly followed suit.

As per the circular, the CISCE had been in receipt of numerous emails from schools, parents and students, expressing difficulties and apprehensions related to availability of devices for online exams, irregular power supply and network and bandwidth problems. Addressing these issues the CISCE has decided to conduct the examinations in offline mode only.
