Entrepreneurs need not necessarily be born but can be developed through well-conceived and well-directed interventions. This ideology inspired Aviral Mittal, second year student of Sir Padampati Singhania Engineering College who founded EDC (Entrepreneurship Development Cell) ten months ago to provide a platform to inspire upcoming entrepreneurs. EDC aims to provide interface between ideas and experts, innovative training techniques, competent faculty support and consultancy. Aviral Mittal laid EDC’s foundation with Nahush as co-founder and now they are team of 15 people with same vision. To get green signal from college management for operating EDC in University with faculty and student support, they prepared introductory presentation of their idea. After ten months, they finally got permission by management. During this journey of rejection and approval, their faculty mentors were Dr. Ghanshyam Purohit and Mrs.Sumangala Rathore. Recently, on 14 August’10 they held up their first event in University on “Entrepreneurship and ways to implement it”. Session was addressed by three eminent entrepreneurs   Mr. Prasoon Gupta, Mr. Vikram Upadhyaya, Mr. Luigi Tramontana. Mr. Prasoon Gupta, alumunus of IITR, Founder of Techbuddy Consulting Pvt. Ltd., took detailed session over Enterpreneurship. Mr. Vikram Upadhyaya, Founding Director & Charter Member at TiE Japan-Tokyo Chapter, proposed three methods to upcoming entrepreneurs on “How to implement business ideas”. Moreover, He also agreed to mentor students for six months if anyone comes up with reasonable and innovative proposal. Mr. Luigi Tramontana, Captain at Luigi Tramontana CG (animation industry), detailed about how to channelize between different streams of subject to structure any project. He shared an experience of his work in animations. Event attended by 145 students of Singhania University was a great success. EDC got positive feedback from students in terms of appreciation and request of other events in future. Aviral says, it was the small footstep towards achieving high goal and our mission. We aim at greater objective, raising EDC as an organization that can sort out every query and can provide appropriate platform & expertise to blooming entrepreneurs in every field. It is not that we lack in innovative ideas or business proposals, however we are always fearful of tumbles we may get in beginning. We fears from questions like how to do, when to do? More often, in this fear or lack of knowledge many people dump their thoughts. EDC is the solution of same fear. For Udaipurites, it is a great platform to share ideas and formulate them under suitable guidance. Now, anyone who desires to be an entrepreneur can furnish their dreams with the help of EDC, they might be of great help. After all motivation can lead to marvels!!
