The state government of Rajasthan has announced plans to establish Girls Sainik Schools at the divisional level as part of the 2024 budget. The Education Department has already started working towards this initiative, focusing on various divisional headquarters, including Udaipur.

Focus on Value-Based Education

Sainik Schools are affiliated with the Sainik School Society and emphasize value-based education. These institutions are being established in phases at the divisional level to provide the necessary facilities for girls to join the army, paramilitary forces, and police in greater numbers.

Land Requested for These Schools

In Ajmer, the government is requesting 20 to 25 bighas of land for this purpose. The department and district administration are coordinating efforts to move this initiative forward. The plan includes building these schools based on the model of the Sainik School in Chittorgarh, which also requires more than 20 bighas of land.

Initiatives by the Directorate of Secondary Education

The Directorate of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, Bikaner, has already initiated efforts to establish these schools. Deputy Director of Secondary Education, Ramesh Kumar Harsh, has written letters to the divisional joint directors of Udaipur, Kota, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Churu, and Ajmer.

Coordinated Efforts for Land Allocation

The letters emphasize the need for coordination with the Divisional Commissioner and Collector to ensure prompt action regarding land allocation for the Girls' Sainik Schools. Prioritizing the process of land identification is crucial so that the project can begin as soon as possible.

Revised Budget Instructions

In the correspondence, the Director has informed that, under the revised budget, instructions have been issued to establish Sainik Schools for girls. Therefore, the necessary steps for land identification and allocation should be executed at the Divisional Commissioner and Collector level. The land should be made readily available for the establishment of the school.
