The Indian Institute of Management, Udaipur, is organizing an event where those persons desiring to go the entrepreneurial way, will be given 32 Hours in which to showcase their Business Model.

Aspiring entrepreneurs can use it as a platform to try out their ideas earning them continuous mentoring from seasoned entrepreneurs and professionals while they get exposure to Angel Investors and Venture Capitalists.

Saksham, the Entrepreneurship Cell of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Udaipur, is initiating an unique event to promote aspiring entrepreneurs from across various cities by posing a challenge for them to develop and showcase their business projects before potential investors.  The event, called ‘Prarambh – the 32 hour start-up’, scheduled on 8th & 9th March is a marathon event where young enthusiasts and aspiring entrepreneurs may come together to share their ideas, form teams, build working model of their products and develop a future business plan all in the limited time of thirty two hours.

‘This kind of an event is relatively new to India and has been a huge success in the few places where it had happened before. The idea of start-up weekend competition is to bring together entrepreneurs of different backgrounds, including software developers, marketers, designers, and other enthusiasts.

They gather in to pitch ideas, form teams and build working prototypes in just 32 hours, informed Rishiraj Kashyap, a member of the organizing team.  The event, which is co-sponsored by Rajasthan Angel Investors Network(RAIN) and TiE will be very useful for the local community by promoting entrepreneurship and acting as a launch pad, he said.

Aspiring entrepreneurs can use it as a platform to try out their ideas earning them continuous mentoring from seasoned entrepreneurs and professionals while they get exposure to angel investors and venture capitalists. The attending participants have to pitch their ideas, the pitches are whittled down to the top ideas and then teams will be formed around these ideas.

Teams work on their plans with guidance from the mentors.  Finally, the business models will be demonstrated in front of judges and potential investors. Noted entrepreneurs Mukund Mohan, Director at Microsoft Ventures, Shailesh Vikram Singh, Executive Director Seedfund Advisors, Girish Gupta- CEO Rajasthan Venture Capital  Gaurav Mantri, Founder and Head of Technology at Cynapta and Pranay Gupta, Founder – 91 Spring board will judge the competition.
