MLSU Student Elections: NSUI wins after 12 years
MLSU Student Elections 2014-15 concluded today with Himanshu Chaudhary (NSUI) winning as the President (Central Union, University) in a thumping victory over Devendra Singh Chundawat (ABVP) by 920 votes in the final counting.
MLSU Student Elections 2014-15 concluded today with Himanshu Chaudhary (NSUI) winning as the President (Central Union, University) in a thumping victory over Devendra Singh Chundawat (ABVP) by 920 votes in the final counting.
Himanshu Chaudhary received 2791 votes, whereas Devendra Singh Chundawat received 1871 votes. Other contenders’ viz. Kunal Kumawat (CSS) and Himanshu Chaubisa (Independent) received 1610 and 34 votes respectively.
The supporters of NSUI started celebrating as soon as Himanshu Chaudhary started leading and began bursting crackers and dancing till the final results came out. Senior members of NSUI congratulated the newly elected President and wished him luck.
Gajendra Singh Rawal (ABVP) won as Vice President (Central Union, University) by defeating Hariom Meena (NSUI) by 2494 votes. Bhawna Meghwal (NSUI) defeated Etty Meena (ABVP) with 1231 votes and took the seat of General Secretary (Central Union, University). Siddharth Prakash Soni (NSUI) won as Joint Secretary (Central Union, University) by defeating Bhavesh Purohit (ABVP) with 105 votes.

In parallel, the results of Student Elections at MPUAT were also declared. 80% voting was recorded in the election with Rahul Legha wining as the President by defeating Parsaram Bera; Bharat Ameta won as General Secretary by defeating Surendra Kumar Chaudhary and Rupal Bhargava defeated Khem Singh to win as Joint Secretary/Treasurer.
