Know the details of the Revised Pattern of CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Examinations Term – 1 2021

More emphasis on application and fundamental understanding, less on essay type. Students will not get benefit of process...only of the final output

The CBSE is expected to announce the date sheet for the Term 1 Board Exams for Classes 10 and 12 on 18 October. While the board has announced that the examinations will be held in an offline mode, the examination centres are being setup and the exams will be conducted from November 15.

Here are the salient points of the CBSE Term 1 Board examinations:

  1. Written Objective Paper 90 minutes long.
  2. MCQ only; no Theory based questions.
  3. Image, Tabular or Situation based Questions.
  4. Diagram to be given to assess analytical skills.
  5. Exam will begin at 11:30am instead of 10:30am.
  6. Only 12 students per classroom with 1 Invigilator.

In adherence to social distancing norms, the CBSE has also announced that main examinations of both the board classes will not clash, which means that 5 main subjects of class 10 and 19 main subjects of class 12 will not be held on the same day.

The second term of the CBSE Board examinations for classes 10 and 12 will in the March – April 2022 window. The mode will be decided based on the COVID situation.
