Hosted by MLSU, today’s technical sessions were held at a hotel situated in Badi. Valedictory ceremony was conducted at Biotechnology Auditorium where VCs also planted trees in the campus.

Professor Vijitha Nanayakkara, Vice Chancellor, Open University of Sri Lanka shared his thoughts on empowering peasants and farmers.

Dr. Vinay Sheel Gautam, Dept. of Management, IIT Delhi said that universities should also connect to local customs and traditions. He also said that South Asian countries are facing too much difference in resources among them and to minimize these differences, the exchange of information and knowledge should be made easier.

The two day conference of University Chancellors from South Asian countries started yesterday on 16th Oct at Durbar Hall. Vice Chancellors from seven countries discussed on the subject of Nurturing New Avenues in University Education in South Asia: Challenges and Prospects.

Professor Mohammad Hedayati, vice chancellor of Kabul University emphasized on the importance of local language in higher education.

Professor N. Lakshmi gave a presentation on Nano Technology. The session was coordinated by Prof. Sanjay lodha.

Prof. N.S Rathod, Prof. S.N.S Jaffery, Prof.S.K Kataria and Prof. P.P.R Vyas also shared their views.
