The HRD Centre of JK Lakshmi Cement Limited, Jaykaypuram Sirohi organised a function on Teacher's Day this Sunday. The event was attended by all the teaching and non teaching staff of Lakshmipat Singhania School, Jaykaypuram, Sirohi and the Management Committee of Schools.

The programme started with the stuti of Lord Ganesha and lamp lighting by the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, Dr Sunil Saxena – Unit Head, JK Lakshmi Cement, Sirohi & Chairman of Management Committee of Schools and principal of LPS School, Anil Sharma The welcome speech was delivered by Dinesh Pandya, Vice President (P&A), JK Lakshmi Cement, Sirohi, which was followed by the address of Guest of Honour, Prof Arun Chaturvedi. Prof Chaturvedi expressed his thoughts and elaborated the features of new Education Policy. Prof Chaturvedi has been the Dean and Chairman, Faculty of Law & Faculty of Social Science at the Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur.

Dr Kailash Sodani, the Chief Guest at the event addressed the gathering and he also gave some insights of the New Education Policy, which will be basically focussing upon explicitly shifting from the cramming approach, while at the same time infusing a feeling of Nationality in the students, promotion of Innovation and Creativity and skill development in the students. This approach, in addition to getting them the right jobs, can also get them to  start their own business. Dr Sodani stressed upon the National and Regional languages specially up to primary section. These insights were supported by data.

Dr Sodani has served as Vice Chancellor of MDS University Ajmer, JNV University Jodhpur and Govind Guru Tribal University, Banswara. He has also been the Visitors nominee by President of India at Jawaharlal Nehru Univ Delhi, Central Univ Punjab, and presently nominated for Board of Management, Baba Sahib Univ Lucknow.

Dr Sunil Saxena, in his address to the audience compared the scenario of pre and post Covid and stressed upon acting on the New Education Policy and to get aligned with the quick paced transformation taking place in the world.

Mementos were given to all the dignitaries present in the program. The programme was concluded by a Vote of Thanks by SN Rai, Vice President – Finance, JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd ,Sirohi. The master of the ceremony was Puneet Tiwari, General Manager (HR & IR), JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd, Sirohi.
