Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) has been introduced by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi for classes 1 to 10. The CCE seeks to establish learners interest not just in academic activities but also in extra-curricular activities like sports, art & craft among others.
Two main features of assessing a learners are through Formative Assessment (FA) and Summative Assessment (SA) according to CBSE. Teachers find it difficult to assess a learner in Formative Assessment. The trainers explained and illustrated in an interactive manner how FA can be done within the parameters laid down by CBSE.
When summarizing the training programme, Jai Singh of The Study felt that if a learner is not able to understand, it is a failure on part of the teacher. This however comes with a rider that parents also should be involved in the learning process of the child.
Tanmay Sinha gave vote of thanks to the trainers.
