Udaipur, January 14, 2025 - This year, annual festivals and award distribution ceremonies will not be held in 30,448 out of the total 72,000 government schools in Rajasthan. These include 1,370 schools from Udaipur. The Education Department had planned to organize these events between January 10 and 25. However, it has now been decided that only 41,552 schools across the state will host them.

Udaipur Schools Affected

Udaipur has a total of 3,994 schools. Of these, only 863 secondary schools and 1,761 primary schools will organize the events this year. A list of these schools has been shared by the department.

Reason for Exclusion: Low Enrollment

The main reason for not holding the events in some schools is low student enrollment. Schools with 50 or fewer students will not be included. The department believes that such schools cannot meet the standards needed for these events.

Meritorious Students' Recognition

The department has not yet clarified how meritorious students from excluded schools will be recognized. It is expected that these students will be honored at nearby schools during their events.
