Vidya Bhawan Polytechnic Hosts Workshop on Quality Management
“Quality is just not the concept but it is a way of life. Using various Quality Management Standards and tools, inclusive and sustainable growth progress can be achieved. The Quality Council of India, Government of India initiated a project to train technical teachers on Quality.” informed Rahul Raj.

Raj was speaking in the concluding session of five days training on ‘Quality Management Standards and Quality Technology Tools’, organized at Vidya Bhawan polytechnic, Udaipur.
“Embracing the concept of Quality and practicing it on a day to day basis is the only way to ensure quality in personal and professional life.
The concepts of Quality have been drawn from almost all the ancient scriptures and religious manuscripts which teach good practices as a human being, as a citizen and as a leader”, said Raj.
He emphasized the need of adopting 5 S in every walk of life- Sorting, Systematizing, Spick and Span, Sanitizing and Self- discipline are considered as foundation for quality building, he emphasized.
The former Head of Entrepreneurship Development & Industrial Coordination Cell, National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training & Research, Chandigarh Prof B S Rathod underlined the need of having Industry – Institute linkages for finding the needs of employers and helping institutes in preparing the quality students for use in the Industry.
The teachers must use the concept of Quality in their day to day interactions. Teacher must act as a change agent for bringing about quality and excellence in technical education system, the productivity of the nation.
Dr. A.B. Gupta, Professor and Head, Curriculum Development Cell, NITTTR illustrated various statistical tools for bringing, measuring and ensuring Quality.
Anil Mehta, Principal, Polytechnic informed that participants from various Polytechnic of Rajasthan participated in the workshop and learnt various aspects of Quality Management including Total Quality Management, Kaizen, 5 S, Quality Circle, Lean Management, Occupational Health and Safety Management System, Leadership, Problem Solving etc.
