With the focus of combating the menace of increasing number of financial scams in the country and globally, a workshop on Effective Corporate Governance was organised at Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies (GITS).

With the focus of combating the menace of increasing number of financial scams in the country and globally, a workshop on Effective Corporate Governance was organised at Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies (GITS).

Professor J.P. Sharma, Dean of the Delhi School of Economics, was the keynote speaker at the workshop. He observed in his speech that lack of effective corporate governance is the root of all financial misappropriations.

The objective of the workshop was to increase awareness about the effective accounting practices amongst industrialists, chartered accountants and students.

M.K Taya, UCCI President noted that easy and effective processes/policies need to be designed so as to facilitate good corporate governance by industries.

Prof P.K. Jain stressed the importance of drilling down the knowledge of corporate governance in our would-managers i.e. the students pursuing their MBA.

M.K. Taya (UCCI President), J.P. Agarwal (Chairman, Geetanjali Group), P.K. Jain (Professor, MLSU), Ankit Agarwal(CEO, Geetanjali), B.L.Khamesra (Director, GITS) and A.Raman (Principal, GITS) inaugurated the workshop with lightening of the lamp.
