Noted educationist and school Principal Neeru Tandon passed away on Saturday night. She was fighting cancer since 2012.
Neeru Tandon had cancer at the base of right leg. She underwent an operation in 2012. It was her love for education that she started going to school in a wheelchair seven days after her operation. She would go to school in a car and after getting down would move around in a wheelchair. Such was the love and affection of students that they would drop her to the car and also pick her up from the car and help her on the wheelchair.
Neeru Tandon served as Principal of Delhi Public School, Udaipur till 2016. She then left her job owing to ill health. She however could not keep herself away from teaching and resumed as Principal of Rockwoods school in 2017. She breathed her last as an educationist.
Owing to the love and respect of students and parents alike, she was also awarded multiple times with the Best Teacher Award.
