-Lok Kala Mandal was shut down for public in the wake of corona virus.

-The artists have been rehearsing since long waiting to get back on stage.

Entertainment is a must to keep depression at bay. The city’s most loved entertainment centre Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal has been a good source of relaxation for public, a place for theatre lovers as it is an amazing centre with performing arts.

Lok Kala Mandal had to be kept closed in the wake of corona virus. This had disheartened public immensely as their source had become unreachable but they were helpless in this need-of-the-hour situation. Now the good news is that the open theatre is reopening and people can feel refreshed and forget the burdens of the past 9-10 months to some extent.

Artists have been on constant rehearsals and are quite enlightened with the re-opening of the theatre. The open theatre to begin today on 18th Jan’21 will have 2 programmes daily. The schedules for the programmes have been decided between 12 noon to 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. with 30 minutes each of puppet shows and Rajasthani folk dance. Hoping to see the artists set the stage on fire with beautiful colourful vigorous performances once again...

It may also be noted that Shilpgram-the rural art and craft village has also been opened for public. The West Zone Cultural Centre is operational again and artists from different states will take over the stage. “Dharohar” in Bagore ki Haveli is also operational and artists from various states have started performing and are attracting tourists.
