Udaipur Film Festival begins today

The three-day Udaipur Film Festival begins today. Udaipur Film Society and The Group Jan Sanskriti Manch in a joint collaboration began the fifth Film Festival in Maharan Kumbha Sangeet Sabhagar today at 11 a.m. The festival will go on till 27th November.

Five feature films, 4 documentaries, 2 short films, 2 special lectures, a special performance Dastan-Goi and 2 panel discussions are on the agenda of this film festival. Public will also get the opportunity to have open discussions with film makers.

Before the special exhibit on the inaugural day, guest Manoj Singh and spokesperson Rahul Roy will share their opinion about this festival with the public. After this films will be shown in different sessions.

 Today i.e. day one of the festival, “The Other Side”, “Two plus”, “Campus Rising”, “Our Gauri” will be screened. During the 3-day Film Festival in Udaipur, audience will get to know Pratik Sinha, Yusuf Saeed, Rahul Roy, Avinash Das, Manoj Singh, Bhupesh Kavadia, Rana Pratap Sengar, Rajesh Kumar and Bhanwar Meghwanshi.

Day-2

“Jaane bhi Do Yaaro” movie by Kundan Shah will be shown in the first session on Sunday 26th November. After this discussion sessions on “Turup”, “Jahan Chaar Yaar Mil Jaaye” “Anarkali of Aara” will follow. 9:30 a.m. is the schedule for “Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro”. “Turup” will be screened at 12…duration for this is 72 minutes with Hindi and English subtitles. At 2:15 p.m. “Jahan Chaar Yaar Mil Jaaye”(43 minutes), 3:45 to 4:45 is the schedule for “Dastan-E-Sedition” and 5p.m. to 7:30 p.m. “Anarkali of Aara” will be made available for viewing.

Day-3

Monday is the day for Jharokha “Atakti Saansein Haanfta Desh”, “Ye Kya Jagah Hai Doston”, “Ishq Ke Imtihan Aur bhi Hain” and “Behas Jaari Hai”. 1:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Ye Dhuan Kahan Se Uthta Hai session will have documentary film for 73 minutes featuring “Campus Rising” by Yusuf Saeed in both Hindi and English subtitles.

Between 3:45 to 5:15 public will witness cultural events “Tracking the Fame” and “Fake ka Funda”. 5:30p.m. to 6:30p.m.  discussion will be held on media’s new ventures. 6:30 to 7:40 p.m. documentaries “Our Gauri” with duration of 67 minutes will be shown in Hindi, English and Kannada subtitles.
