The 473^rd Birth Anniversary of Maharana Pratap falling on 11^th June this year will be celebrated with keen fervor. Various programs including processions, meetings and rituals will be conducted on the auspicious day.

To check upon the preparations of Pratap Jayanti, a meeting was held on Saturday at Udaipur Municipal Corporation under the leadership of Tej Singh Bansi, Managing Director of BN Institute.

Bansi in his short address to the attendees said that Maharana Pratap was the ideal hero of Mewar and we expect support from all classes and communities for the success of Pratap Jayanti celebration.

Meeting was started with detailed report of previous year narrated by Kundan Singh Muroli, Mahamantri of Mewar Kshatriya Mahasabha, which was followed by speech of Kamlendra Singh Panwar, Pratap Jayanti programme coordinator. Panwar informed details of the 7-Day celebration.

Official sticker of Pratap Jayanti was unveiled in the program by Maharana Pratap Sena, a social organization. Mohan Singh Rathod, Director of the organization informed that 2000 stickers will be distributed.

50 women holding swords will participate in the mass procession on 11 June, the participating women will be head by Rekha Chundawat, President of Bajrang Sena Mewar’s women wing.

Dr. Rajendra Singh Jagat, President of Mewar Kshatriya Mahasabha informed that several tableaus showcasing life of Maharana Pratap will be part of the procession. Jagat also informed that pamphlets and other promotional material will be distributed.
