Clamping down on Public Voice is the Ugly face of Democracy

Office bearers of Student Unions from various Universities and Colleges took part in the Students Parliament session held at Mohanlal Sukhadia University on Thursday.

This workshop was held to discuss and deliberate on various issues related to Students across higher education institutions in the state, where Shivdan Singh Jolavas, Director, Rajasthan Motyar Parishad deliverd the key note address to the attendees.e

Rajasthani dialect being a point of discussion in this forum, Shivdan made it a point to mention that the language spoken by over 8 Crore people is still waiting to be included in the 8th Schedule after even 13 years.  Seconding this, Rahul Singh Bhati said that a common dialect helps people in discussing and addressing issues in wider platforms.

Special Guest Dr. Jyitopunj Pandya and Dr. Kunjan Acharya expressed their thanks to the speakers for bringing up the touching topic of the Rajasthani dialect on this platform.

Various competitions were also organised during the event, in which Dr. Devendra Kashyap of RNT secured the first prize at University level.  Yugdarshan from Dairy College and Bhupendra Salaal-Mitali Sharma from Arts College took the second and third place respectively.

Coordinator of the event, Deepak Jain said that MLSU Student President Mayurdhwaj Singh Chauhan, Sandeep Singatvadia, MPUAT Student President Shravan Bhakar, Jitendra Singh Asoliya, Bhavna Menariya, and approximately 80 members in total from various other colleges of the district took part in the workshop.
