Congress leaders visit freedom fighters Home on Quit India Anniversary

The party workers led by officials of the Congress Media Centre Udaipur, visited 95 year old Jagganath Prasad and 88 year old Purshottam Sharma at their residences in the old city areas of Cement Gali and Suthar Wara respectively.

 

On the Anniversary of Quit India Movement which started in August 1942, Udaipur Congress party workers have honored two freedom fighters from Udaipur by visiting their residence and garlanding them.

The party workers led by officials of the Congress Media Centre Udaipur, visited 95 year old Jagganath Prasad and 88 year old Purshottam Sharma at their residences in the old city areas of Cement Gali and Suthar Wara respectively.

Congress leaders honored both the bedfast freedom fighters by the traditional way of offering them shawl, flowers and coconut.

A small meeting was also held at Media Centre’s office located in the Dhan Mandi area of Udaipur.

While addressing the meeting, Pankaj Sharma –President of the media centre focused on various points pertaining to the present economical and social condition of the country, he also suggested various points for better governance and also shared his view on the economical development of the country and how corruption is impeding the prosperity of the nation.

He said “There is a need of balance in every field of economical development and creating a distinctive feature to strengthen the root of the country, hold those who are obliterating the country by involving in corruption”.

Many party workers were present at the event including Lal Singh Jhala –President- Udaipur Congress (Rural) , Shyamlal Choudhry- Sub-district head, Jaiprakash Nimawat – President-Udaipur Youth Congress, Ashok Kumar Tamboli, Meghraj Swarnkar, Shabbir Hussain and many others.
