When traveling or immigrating this process occurs in one’s mental and emotional state as they experience new cultures and life styles. While it might not be visible on the surface to friends, relatives, or even the person who has changed locations the way they see and understand the world is altered.

In India, there has been a tradition of women shaving their heads as offerings to the Gods. Here the artists have appropriated this cultural phenomenon to express the passing from one state of being to another.
