Education First! Salvi Samaj Going to Honor 300 Students
Udaipur’s Salvi (Bunkar) community has organized a press conference today at lakecity press club to notify their upcoming yearly communal gathering on 27th Feb. Aim of the event is to honor the most talented students and outstanding personalities from their community.
This year too, the community is all set to organize a grand event on 27th Feb. at Sukhadia Rang Manch where 354 students are going to be honored with 50 worthy community people; this program is expected to be attend by more than 5000 people.
Many high profile citizens are invited as guests and chief guests including Raghuveer Singh Meena, Gulab Chand Kataria and Sajjan Katara among the top dignitaries.
P.R Salvi-spokesman of the organization said that our aim is to strengthen our community and youth are our pillars, we are just trying to accumulate the mass and work together to build a peaceful and developing social environment, higher education is our top priority and that’s why we encourage talented students more than anyone.
Salvi Bunkars are basically a sub cast of Hindus; they are traditionally engaged in the work of weaving. However, most of the salvis had opted different jobs and businesses other than weaving. Udaipur has a good population of salvi bunkar community.
