This year the Annual Fair of Hariyali Amavasya will not include Fatehsagar Paal as the venue; thus none of the shops will be setup on the Pal section of Fatehsagar lake.  This decision was made in a meeting held under the chair of Divisional Commissioner on Monday.

Auctions of counters, though, would be organised on 1^st August, in which areas of Shaeliyon Ki Badi and nearby locations will be included.

According to the official sources, this decision has been made keeping in mind the cleanliness of lake side.  Moreoever UIT has recently prepared a cemented flooring on the Paland one can carry edibles along Fatehsagar Pal.

According to the Rajni Dangi, Mayor, temporary shops installed during the fair are raised under tents, which result in holes being drilled around the area. It is a positive step towards the future of lakeside maintenance and its water.
