The 10-day flower show will begin tomorrow at Fatehsagar pal. It may be noted that the flower show was held for the first time in 2014 and since then it has been loved by public. 

UIT is making all relevant arrangements to make this flower show a success once again. There on the other hand people have requested that the show must not land up as a mere promotional event for various companies.

Every year a lot of sponsors show interest in this event. In the name of promotion, the show is becoming more of a commercialised event. Public has requested to keep this show as a flower show since over branding cuts down on exhibition of flowers and company advertisements take up more of space. UIT Secretary has assured that this point will be kept in mind and the beauty of the flower show will be maintained.

Marigold, roses, petunia, impatiens, chrysanthemum, poinsettia, a variety of cactus and other hybrid plants will be exhibitted in this flower show. Municipal Corporation, PWD, private nurseries, industrial organisations and various educational institutions are going to be a part of this event. 10,000 plants will also be distributed free of cost.
