The District Administration and Department of Animal Husbandry has jointly implemented recreational activity of horse riding, which will be starting from Sunday 20th April at Dhudtalai Pal around 7 am.

The District Administration and Department of Animal Husbandry has jointly implemented recreational activity of horse riding, which will be starting from Sunday 20th April at Dhudtalai Pal around 7 am. Formal inauguration will be done by Ashutosh. A.T Pednekar, District Collector and Ajay Pal Lamba, Superintendent of Police Department Udaipur.

According Dr. Lalit Joshi, Deputy Director, Department of Animal Husbandry, Rajasthan College of Agriculture, “Lines for registration were kept open for telephonic booking on Saturday 19th April, where we received 12 bookings for the day.”

Dr. Joshi added that motto behind these rides is conservation of local horse breeds (Marwari). Also it will be helpful in generating income source for the Horse owners, as money collected from each ride would be shared among respective owners of horses.

“Each ride will be of around 5 km starting from Dudhtalai Lake till Sisarma, where riders will be escorted throughout the stretch. They have to pay Rs.250 per ride,” informed Dr. Joshi.

According to Ashutosh Pednekar, one such Horse Riding camp will also be organized for kids during Summer season. It is under consideration as it requires a ground which is yet to be decided.
