When thousands of spiritually bonded Kavariyas carrying pots filled with holy water embarked on their journey to a temple located at Ubeshwar, 23 kms from Udaipur, they filled the scene with absolute mysticism in the damp (humid)  air of Udaipur. A walk through journey of 23 km,  from Udaipur to Ubeshwar, that started early this morning from Gangu Kund, Mahasatiya , Ayad was  preceded by a Maha-Aarti and was attended by approximately 2001 kavariyas/kavadiya including women devotees. Kavariyas: Journey of Faith Ubeshwar, a hilly region located nearly 23 km from Udaipur is surrounded with nature’s astounding blessings but it is also considered as the toughest road route due to sloppy turns on immense height. Members and volunteers of Shiva Mahotsav Samiti, the main organizer of the event arranged the whole program very diligently with facilities of food & water and shelter at some places on the way. The journey started from Ayad , passed through Surajpol –Dhan Mandi-Jagdish Chowk-Chandpol-Mallatalai-Rampura and then on the way to Ubeshwar – the final destination. Kavariyas: Journey of Faith The devotees reached their destination at 3:15 in the evening when ‘Rudhraabhishek’( the worship of Lord Shiva) is performed. The president of Shiva Mahotsav Samiti – Yagya Narayan Sharma was also one among several walkers to Ubeshwar. Kavariyas: Journey of Faith The very word ‘challenge’, however, doesn’t suit the faith of these devotees who despite of tough conditions accomplished the journey to make their God happy and to seek blessings to inculcate in everyone divine wisdom and prosperity. Team UT congratulates every attendee and the organizers of this spiritual journey.
