MLSU Golden Jubilee Function
On the occasion of Mohanlal Sukhadia University’s Golden Jubilee commemorative ceremony, a very crisp and elegant function was held today at university’s complex.

Pallam Raju, Minister for Human Resource Development and Dr. C.P Joshi, Minister for Road Transport and Highways, shared their thoughts on improving the quality of education in the country.
Twelve people were honored for their achievements in different areas of expertise. A round of poetry recitation was also carried out by students.
Pallam Raju expressing his take on present education system said that, “In the constantly changing scenario, quality of education needs to be improved.” He praised RTE (Right to Education Act) and Mid-Day Meal Scheme and said that the time has come to take higher education to international levels and link it with latest technologies.
Raju said that students need to take cognizance of the efforts that their parents are making for their education – quite a few taking loans to aid financial requirement for their child.
“Change is not required only from the Government front; it is a responsibility of each and every citizen”, Raju said, while sharing his thoughts of developing government universities to take them to international levels.
Dr. CP Joshi, who was student of MLSU and also served the university as a Professor talked about his time spent in MLSU.
Joshi, who is technically very savvy himself, asked faculties to keep themselves abreast with latest mobile and internet trends. “Because of technology advancement, students are using internet, reading e-books and getting smarter than teachers”, he said.
Joshi said, “Student is keeping pace with technology and hence, teachers should also keep moving ahead to meet this challenge.”
State Minister for Sports and Youth, Mangilal Garasia and MP Sajjan Katara were also present on the occasion.
Professor I.V Trivedi, Vice Chancellor of MLSU informed about the programs an achievements made in the Golden Jubilee year. He said that MLSU is trying to become “Paperless University” and required measures are being taken in this direction.
The detail of events and achievements was printed on a Golden Jubilee Document which was also unveiled today. Golden jubilee cover letter by postal department was launched by O.S Birwal, head of postal department Rajasthan Zone.

Names of individuals honored today at MLSU function include: Lalit Baragamay, Indira Bhandari, Pratik Sharma, Vidhya Sagar Upadhyay, Mangi Bai, Mohan Shrimali, N.N.Mathur, Dr. Viniya Pendse, Dr. Anil Bordiya, Narendra Mishra, Professor Bharat Chhaparwal and Former Chancellor Professor B.L.Chaudhari.
