Panache' 12': Grand Extravaganza at Singhania University
The Annual Techfest, “Panache’12” at Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur is starting on the 11th of January, 2012. ‘Panache’ 12” will be a four day extravaganza promising a mix of entertainment with some serious matters being discussed through scheduled conferences, workshops, cultural activities and many other exciting competitions.
The Annual Techfest, “Panache’12” at Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur is starting on the 11th of January, 2012.
‘Panache’ 12” will be a four day extravaganza promising a mix of entertainment with some serious matters being discussed through scheduled conferences, workshops, cultural activities and many other exciting competitions. Prizes for this competition will be between the range of Rs. 500 to Rs. 10,000.
The main attraction of Panache ’12 appears to be a Rock Concert by the band, Parikrama. Apart from the assumedly alluring Rock Concert, another notable achievement this year would be of the event making it to the Limca Book of Records for the largest gathering of people wearing different footwear on both feet.
The theme of Panache ’12 is Iconoclast Sixties. It represents an era that underwent major transformations in Music, Dance and other art forms. Panache ’12 therefore plans to honor and celebrate the achievements of all the artists that sailed us through the era. The schedule for Panache ’12 is as follows: Day 0: A Blood Donation camp aiming to narrow the gap between demand and supply of blood and its components; a Movie Premier and Inaugural Dinner.
Day 1: Inauguration of the Fest by H.E. Dr. Shrimati Kamla, Governor of Gujarat followed by a Conference on VLSI and Embedded Systems; Sir Padampat Singhania Memorial Debate Competition; Inauguration of Fest Fun Fair (revenue generated from which is to be donated to schools in Bhatewar village); Painting Exhibition by Artist Kamal Sharma; Slate, the Creative Writing Competition and Gangs of Ghetto, a Street Dance Competition.Day 2: Conference on Cloud Computing and Mobile Technology followed by Management Conclave; Workshop on Designer Tools; Sir Padampat Singhania University Speech Competition; Prop Opp, a mock Parliamentary Debate Competition; Infostorm, a Quiz Competition; Rock Concert by Evergreen band and Woodstock, War of Bands. Day 3: Workshop on Computer Networking; Limca World Record attempt; Rock Concert by Parikrama band; Ban the Bomb, a Dance for a cause. Day 4 Valedictory Session: Dr. Girija Vyas, Member of Parliament is expected to be the Chief Guest, while Gajendra Singh Shaktawat, MLA is expected to grace the occasion as the Guest of Honor. Panache ’12 is expected to be four day adventurous journey of exploring oneself and view the technological advancements around the globe.
