In the current pandemic situations when every event is being cancelled, should the Shilpgram fest still take place?

Every year the fest takes place towards the end of December beginning with the 21st of December. The arrangements for this fest normally begin by the beginning of October, but this year it has been delayed. It is quite a well known fact that the shilpgram fest attracts lakhs of people every year and it is one of the most loved fests and holds a special place in the tourism industry.

Since the arrangements have not yet started, the Director of Shilpgram informed that the arrangements will begin by mid October. There are all the chances that the dates of the fest will be extended by a month and a half and the budget has been received. 

The fest is very likely to increase the number of corona patients, but reports say that Shilpgram fest will provide employment possibilities to all the artists and tourism industry will get a chance to be back on tracks. As informed a budget of 70 lakh rupees has been received and the event will happen according to the guidelines of state and central governments. 

How will the social distancing be maintained in this fest is a big question and a big point of fear!! Tourism industry is expecting to see boom during this festival season as hotels might witness a good booking by Diwali.
