“Sitare Zameen Per” an special evening by differently able children at Sukhadia Rangmanch today was not only awesome but it compelled the spectators to realize the talent of these children who have overpowered their disabilities by brushing their other skills.

The evening was organized by Lions Club Udaipur, ‘Maharana’ with Golden Eye Dancing Institute and Spring dance Academy.

The programme started at about 6 pm in the evening with dance drama dedicated to Goddess Saraswati. Senior Lion and former Regional Chairman, B.L. Chaudhary was the chief guest of the function along with present Regional Chairman, Lion Deepak Hinger and Dhanpal Swami, Councilor and Chairman of Diwali Fair Committee.

Lion Vipin Lodha, President, Lions Club Udaipur, ‘Maharana’ said, “The programme aims to motivate the challenged children who are different from normal children but they have some talent in them. About 150 little stars from various schools for handicapped are performing on the stage and we must appreciate their efforts and acknowledge their teachers.”

Various dance performances by these differently able children attracted the spectators. The performance on the song ‘give me sunshine give some rain…’ by students of Prayas Sansthan was scintillating and so was the dance by girls on ‘paharo mahra desh…’.

The fusion dance by deaf and dumb students from Malatalai School was indeed heart appealing and so was the patriotic dance by students of Sanjeevani Handicapped School who were dressed in tri color.

The teachers from all the participating schools which include Prayas Sansthan, Viklang Kalyan Samiti, Malatalai, Theosophical Society, Sanjeevani Handicapped School, etc. were felicitated for their efforts in shaping the hidden talents of these children.

“Lions Club Udaipur, ‘Maharana’ works with the aim of promoting such children by various activities and this was one such effort which could materialize with the help of Golden Eye Dancing Institute and Spring dance Academy. They have been working with these children from last one and a half month,” said Lion Vipin Lodha.

Lion Prem Singh Shaktawat also Councilor and Chairman of Construction Committee, Municipal Council announced that the two best performances would be given a chance to perform in the forthcoming Dusherra-Diwali Mela.
