Symphony steals the show on the last day at Shilpgram Utsav 2011

Quite a lot has been written about the Shipgram Utsav 2011 or Shilpgram Fest 2011 s we may like to call it, over the days. Believe me, no amount of writing on the episode that was Shilpgram, will be enough to express the feelings or explain the euphoria caused due to the event. As we close the event for this year, we have tried to cover a lot of aspects around the event, viz. the daily shows and the men behind the event.

As we close the event for this year, we have tried to cover a lot of aspects around the event, viz. the daily shows and the men behind the event.

However, all good things must end, and so has this, though temporarily.

The crowd level reached its peak today and the theatre was over capacity as the viewers flooded in to witness the Grand Finale.

Today’s zenith was towards the culmination of  the wonderful few days of the event vide a presentation aptly named ‘Symphony’, where all the artists who had performed during the festival got together at one time on stage, with their respective instruments. They performed collectively and the audience took some time to come out of the trance they were in, and applauded the performance.

Earlier today’s evening presentation started with the lighting of the lamp, followed by a beautiful dance sequence performed by dancers from Maharashtra.

The Punjabi Bhangda, caused the usual euphoria amongst the audience, while the Bhapang by Ustad Jumme Khan and the Bhiu dance presented by Assam dancers was to everyone’s awe.

Overall…we had fun covering the event and expect you must have enjoyed our humble effort.

Thanks Shilpgram, Thank Udaipur!
