District Administration is organizing Live Painting on ‘Udaipur’ as theme, at Sajjangarh, Fathesagar and Gulabagh. The event will start on Monday 2nd June and will end on 4th June. The paintings would be put up for auction on the same weekend.

Ashutosh Pedenkar, District Collector, informed that organization of live painting was discussed in a meeting with 15 artists of Udaipur. The objective of this event at tourist spot is to promote local art, local artists and the beauty and heritage of the city.

Pednekar added that all the essentials like Canvas, Paint Brush and Paint would be provided free of cost. The art work would be auctioned on the same weekend at competitive rates. He further informed that 50% of amount collected from auction will be paid to respective artist, while remaining 50% will be deposited in a special fund created for artists.

Around 25 artists, specializing in forms of painting, will be participating in the live painting exercise.
