Three days of extravaganza, Rabindrotsav Ends well

On the last day, the ‘Dance Play’ on a well known poem by Rabindra Nath Tagore titled ‘Aekla Chalo Re’ was showcased at the Lok Kala Mandal on the occasion of the 60th anniversary. The Performers Group presented this play under the direction of Anukampa Laiq, which equally enthralled the audience like the past plays of Rabindrotsav.

The play depicted the Poem and also the story of Tagore’s life including portray of his father and grandfather.

Yesterday, 23rd Feb, on the second day of Rabindrotsav a ‘Dance Play’ on the famous story of ‘Kabuliwala and Mini’ was played.

The story is about an Afghan merchant known as Kabuliwala who frequently visits Kolkata for selling products; meets a little girl named Mini, who reminds him of his daughter. After a series of unfortunate events, when Kabuliwala meets Mini after a very long time; the Parents of Mini are touched by his affection and help him with some money to raise his own daughter.

The play touched the feelings of audience and the parts of affection between Mini and Kabuliwala were awesomely displayed by the actors.

The main actors in the ‘Dance Play’ included Suraj Sharma, Gagan Shrivastav, Sanskriti Yadav, Ankita Chakrborty, Anuja Singh, Sunaina trivedi and Sneha Kher.

The second days events of the 60th foundation fest of Lok Kala Mandal was coordinated by director of Aakashvani, Udaipur, Manik Arya.

The guests presented in today’s event were Shailendra Dashora (director WZCC) and Furqan Khan (additional director wzcc).
