Tips for Effective Communication given in Wonder Cement Workshop

Speaking in a talk organized by Wonder Cement, Sanjay  Chakraborty, AVP, Triton Communications gave pointers for developing good communication skills.

He noted good communication skills as the basic ingredient of success for executives. The following points were mentioned by Sanjay as key to effective communication:

• Driving point for effective communication is the ability of the speaker to identify his or her audience and to adopt a right approach of communicating his/her views with them.
• Long and winding sentences often are tedious and need to be avoided
• In case of written communication, attention should be paid to details such as correct spellings and punctuation.
• Speaker  should  be  well equipped  with  facts  and figures  and be  clear about facts objectively. This will ensure clarity in expressions  and make  speeches  more effective.

On the issue of branding, Sanjay mentioned that every small activity that one indulges in, is important and the actions go in building the overall brand of the company. Everyone in the company acts as its brand ambassador and extreme precaution should be taken by the employees on every minute detail in interaction with customers.
