The community of architects and members of Indian Institute of Architects, Udaipur Sub–Centre are hosting the first Udaipur Architecture Festival (UAF2020).

UAF2020 will be an online festival, taking place in the third week of December (16 December 2020 – 17 December 2020) and is free to register for all Architects and Design Professionals.

The online Architecture Festival, a one of its kind, will feature globally acknowledged architects from different parts of the world. The key note speakers in the online festival will share their experiences with the participants.

The festival, which will be held across two days, viz. 16-17 Dec, will begin at 12pm each day, where the key note speakers will elaborate their experiences and vision on separate topics. The key note sessions will be followed by a Story telling session “LOL” from 7pm till 8pm on 16 Dec and the Festival Finale on 17 Dec.

Day 1: 16 December

• 12pm-1pm: “Key to Being Global”  - Inaugural session by Ar. Kazuma Yamao, WaiWai, Tokyo, Japan
• 2pm-3pm: Workshop on Origami (Part 1) - by Paul Jackson, Origami artist from Israel
• 4pm-5pm: "Deriving Inspirations" by Ar. Bill Bensley, Bensley (Bangkok, Bali)
• 5:30pm-6pm: "Future is here" by Ar. Sunil Ladha, Workspace Design Studio, Udaipur
• 7pm-8pm: "LOL with Leewardists" Story telling session by Ar. Anuj Kale, Ar. Kaniska and Ar. Shreya

Day 2: 17 December

• 12pm-1pm: “Heritage Walk”  - Inaugural session by Ar. Amit Gaurav, My Design Story, Udaipur
• 2pm-3pm: Workshop on Origami (Part 2) - by Paul Jackson, Origami artist from Israel
• 3:30pm-4:30pm: "Life Follows Architecture" by Ar. Anna Heringer, Studio Anna Heringer, Germany
• 5:30pm-6pm: "Life and Practise" by Ar. Dean D'cruz, Mozaic, Goa
• 7pm-8pm: "Festival Finale" - Music by Ar Arjan; Comedy by Ar Girish and Poems by Ar. Gaurav

In addition to the online session, the UAF2020 has also incorporated three competitions within the event, viz. Unbuilt - Ek Nirakaar Swapna; Click or Sketch - a photography and sketching competition describing the emotions of architecture; and House of Lakes - a design competition.  Keep reading UdaipurTimes to get details on these competitions as we publish more information on the event.
