Goat milk is considered to be a good source of nutrition. Since people do not have a taste for goat milk, it will be available in flavoured form from 1st of April in Udaipur city. Some other goat milk products will also be made available.
District administration is going to start this venture under Rajasthan Agricultural Competitiveness Project. This project will also encourage goat rearing among the cattle rearers. Goat milk will be available at 25 to 30 rupees/litre and will be available along with other products at Saras dairy booths. Flavoured milk will be available in 200 and 500 ml bottles which will be available in areas of dense population including RNT Medical College, Ambamata hospital and Hiranmagri Satellite Hospital. 12 districts of Rajasthan are already benefitting by this scheme and Udaipur is now added under this project.
