Weekend Food Review: China Town

Weekend Food Review: China Town

A new Chinese restaurant opened near my home and I went to check it out with a friend.
It is named as Chinatown serving all types of vegetarian Chinese Dishes.

Weekend Food Review: China Town While food was being cooked we chatted with the owner Mr. Sandeep Patel a real gentleman who told us that all the cooks and staff hold an experience of 8 years working in Traditional Chinese restaurants in Mumbai. He also added that Customer Satisfaction and Quality food is the main concern therefore he doesn’t use noodles and sauces available in local market, they are supplied to him from the best shops of Mumbai and everything is cooked in refined Soybean oil. For starters we were served fried noodles and Manchurian Balls with Chutney (sauce) of garlic, chilies and ginger. It was a new thing for us but was not lesser in taste. Weekend Food Review: China Town Manchaw soup was a rare taste and an exotic experience. Being a vegetable soup it came with loads of veggies, every thing in it like green coriander leaves, ginger and other secret herbs were making their presence counted. We gave the soup 10/10 marks. Next in main course was Triple rice prepared with noodles and variety of green vegetables like spinach, served with gravy of sauces, garlic, ginger and chilies. On eating plain rice tasted less spicy yet it was an excellent blend of rice, noodles, onions and spinach. Gravy lifted the taste of rice but still it remains on lighter side. We gave it 6/10. Chinese food is incomplete with noodles but the Sherpa noodles we tasted here, changed the definition of Noodles in our hearts. Generally in all other places noodles are cooked quite similarly with red and green chilly, capsicum making them spicy and hot. These were also spicy because of gravy but they tasted different first time I felt that I am eatin same type of nutritious Chinese food as it is shown in T.V. channels like Discovery and NDTV Good Times. Garnishing of finely chopped vegetables made it look much better. Returning back to taste the noodles were treat for mouth, being less chilly we didn’t drank a lot of water and must mention food was less oily too. We gave noodles 8/10. Suddenly my friend felt like eating Spring Rolls so we ordered it. The sight it self was mouth watering. The best thing I like about it was that for stuffing inside noodles were prepared separately such that its taste is enhanced after frying in oil. Weekend Food Review: China Town
