Maharana Pratap who stood and fought bravely till his last breath against the dominance of Mughal Empire. Maharana Pratap Jayanti (Birth Anniversary) is always celebrated with great enthusiasm in Udaipur. This year celebrations and different functions, remembrance to warriors who fought with and supported Pratap like Rana Punja Bhil, Bhamashah, Hakim Khan Suri and Maa Pannadhay started since 8 June 2010 in joint collaboration of
Mewar Kshatriya Mahasabha and
Municipal Corporation Udaipur at HaldiGhati, Gogunda and our very own Udaipur City. On 15
th June 2010 Hawan was organized at Moti Magri by Maharana Pratap Smarak Samiti and Mewar Kshtriya Mahasabha. Prince of Mewar Dynasty

Maharaj Narendra Singh(President Maharana Pratap Smarak Samiti), and
Mr. Tej Singh Bansi (M.D. B.N. Institute) participated and rendered Purna Ahuti in Hawan and paid tribute to the synonym of “Bravery” Maharan Pratap. Just after it,
Maharaj Kunwar Lakshya Raj Singh and Maharaj Narendra Singh Ji felicitated those employees completing tenure of 20 years of service with Maharana Pratap Smarak Samiti and distributed prizes to students winning drawing competition. Mahraj Kunwar Lakshya Raj Singh and
Mr Mangi Lal Garasiya (Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs) Green flagged the rally. Rally waited for
Mr. Rajnath Singh (Ex All India President of B.J.P.) who paid tribute to Maharana Pratap’s statue later on. Shortly
Mr Gulab Chand Kataria (Ex Home Minister Rajasthan State and present M.L.A Udaipur City) also joined. Finally Mr Rajanth Singh initiated the rally after greeting and meeting people of Udaipur. Rally was joined and welcomed by different groups and communities at Chetak Circle. From there it moved on to Hathipol, Ghantaghar, Mukherjee Chowk and observed Guard of Honor at Surajpol. Many officers of Police Department and Adminstrative Services like I.G. Udaipur Range, S.P. Police, Add.S.P. City and Rural, Dy S.P. City East and West, S.H.O. Surajpol, S.D.M. Girwa. R.A.S. officer Mr. H.L. Kunawat saluted the statue of Pratap.Rally reached to town hall via Bapu Bazaar and Delhi Gate where the Mrs. Rajni Dangi (Chairperson) along with 55 ward representatives greeted the rally and program ended with an assembly in town hall where Mr. Rajnath Singh and Mr. Gulab Chand Kataria addressed the gathering.
