“Best out of waste” is a well known terminology. But creating beauty out of waste in done by very few. There are a few people in Udaipur city who are campaigning in different ways to give messages of environment conservation and cleanliness.
One such artist is Chiman Dangi who exhibited his creation in France for saving the Khejdi tree from extinction. For this exhibition, Chiman Dangi was awarded with a cash prize of 7 lakh rupees. Chiman is creating beautiful pieces from garbage and trying to give message of cleanliness. Another such artist is Sharad Bharadwaj who is painting his way for water conservation. His paintings are based on blue theme.
Chiman Dangi is presently creating awareness among people of New Zealand and is being assisted by Bridy who happens to be an artist there. His Garbage Art creations made from waste materials attracted a large number of crowds. Chiman and Bridy made a horse from garbage and placed it on a garbage bin. This act attracted people to a great extent since the garbage bin looked beautiful and artistic. People in turn became careful about throwing garbage in the bin. Chiman Dangi said that this special piece of art encouraged people of New Zealand to throw waste products in the right place and they have also pledged to keep their city clean.
This artist from Udaipur says that painting or sculpture is not an art for him. He believes that you do not need colours for art. Art is that skill which inspires people to do something good for society.
