Women for Reform, a closely knit social group of like minded women, organised a health talk at the Bohra Youth Community Centre, located in Bohrawadi, on Jan 27. Dr Sangeeta Gupta of Aravali Hospital was the special guest as well as the key speaker at the event, which was attended by a large audience. Dr Rehana Banu was also present on the occasion.
Dr Gupta addressed a large gathering of mainly women and apprised them of the health issues facing the population at large, particularly youngsters. Her primary focus was on common health problems such as Anemia and Thyroid issues, which she said were often neglected but were the root cause of distress in life. She emphasised the need to keep these issues in mind in order to avoid deterioration of health later on in life.
“One must try and eat a healthy diet and avoid fried items to ensure enough vitamins, normal salt intake and no cholesterol”, she said.
