Udaipur police of Saturday arrested a history sheeter and his associates with fire weapons while they were planning to kill a shopkeeper over an old dispute. The arrested criminals were all booked under various sections of Arms Act and IPC.
According to SP Rajendra Prasad Goyal, accused Dilip Nath, a resident of Sisarma Village and a History Sheeter was nabbed by the police team from warehouse situated in Transport Nagar in a raid.
Pratap nagar SHO Manjeet Singh Shaktawat received a tipoff about the gang of goons sitting in a car with weapons, planning to execute one Sohan Singh who runs a medical store at Meetha Neem area of the city. Police had been searching for Dilip Singh and his associates Kamlendra Chundawat, Lalit Bhoi, Yogendra alias Bhanu and Sanjay Borana since the victim Sohan Singh had lodged an FIR against them for abducting him in a car and beating him in connection with an old dispute between them.
The police confiscated 3 pistols, 3 live bullets, mobile phones and a sword from the accused, SP Goyal added.
Goyal further said that Dilip Nath is a history sheeter of Nai police station and has 21 criminal cases registered on his name including murder, attempt of murder, kidnapping and extortion. Besides that accused Kamlendra Singh is having six cases, Yogendra is having one, Lalit is having 3 police cases registered on his name.
